Introduction to Riter

Riter is an intelligent tool for tracking the current status of a development process, monitoring the workflow, flexible project and teams management. The software allows the administrators to control users' working hours, productivity and progress on each project and task. Developers are able to remain aware of all changes in the project and work together throughout the whole development process. With Riter, project and task management becomes simple and reliable. Discussing tasks, their sorting and grouping, issues and time tracking, generating statistics, and other features allows to simplify the work on the project for all team members.

For whom

Riter can be used by all project participants for planning, executing and monitoring its current status. Visual presentation of tasks and simple navigation will be understandable to both developers and managing staff. In particular, Riter is targeted at the following user groups:

Project managers and team leads.

Organize teams and plan their work, distribute the tasks among the developers, monitor the implementation process, the load of the team members, keep tracking of the working hours and efficiency of the performers. Be always up to date with all the latest production processes and the actual state of the project.

Developers and other tasks executors.

Riter allows executors (such as developers, testers, designers and others) to monitor and discuss their questions during the workflow, report on opened and closed tasks, fix time spent on work, possible problems and issues in the development process. The flexible and intuitive design makes it easy to navigate the software. The program is configured to reduce the necessary actions and possible errors while working with it, to anticipate the user's intentions from a half-word.

Stakeholders and auditors.

Riter can be used by different kinds of stakeholder to monitor the current status of the project in real-time to keep a hand on the pulse of the process without interference in the work. Sorting tasks by weeks, collecting statistics by performers and tasks, and visualizing the data can help them.

Benefits

Despite the diversity of Riter features, there are several such ones, due to which you should choose particular this product. While other similar tools provide you with a standard set of functions, we went further and decided to make your work a little easier and more convenient with the following features.

Company management with Riter

Riter is not just a time and story tracking system. It allows you to manipulate data across the entire company of yours so that you could always get access to all projects, developers and customers you work with. Register your company on Riter to automate its management with intelligent tools. Moreover, Riter supports the concept of white labels and allows you to use your custom domain name for the company.

Convenient project management

A huge amount of operating data is not a problem for Riter. It allows to track several projects simultaneously, displaying a group of selected ones on the same board. Users must have access to all of included projects to look through a particular group. Now you do not need to keep in mind all tasks and connections between them during working process. This will make your management more flexible, help to organize team work on related projects and gain time on tracking statistics.

Flexible development process

Riter is based on Agile methodology principles so that you could meet your customers' needs in the best way. We propose:

Constant interaction within teams - with Riter developers are always aware of the current project state and activities of other team members, are able to discuss actual issues, report a problem and work together on a specific task. A complete list of project tasks can be always available to all team members and other interested parties if there are any.

Iterative development during sprints - all tasks are grouped by sprints, the length of which you define yourself. Plan tasks for required period, edit them according to requirements at any time, distribute tasks depending on their status and priority with Riter stories tracker.

Simplicity and efficiency - the art of minimizing unnecessary work is the thing Riter is founded on. It lets you automate work process so that developers could focus on their main tasks. Riter also gathers statistics and analyzes productivity of users to help them to increase it.

Security and support

Riter is young, but actively developing and supported software. Constant updating and tracking of known vulnerabilities by Riter team makes your work with the product reliable and stable. With our software, you should not worry about the security of your data. If you have difficulties with Riter features, you can quickly get answers for your questions in our documentation or write to technical support. You are also able to know about the latest version changes in our blog.

Riter AI

One of the greatest advantages of Riter is its AI. It is managed so that everything that can be done automatically does not require users' participation. It also helps to prevent possible errors, caused by the human factor. The collection and systematic analysis of data, evaluation of users' actions in the system are aimed at increasing the accuracy of tasks estimation, planning and distribution of work among developers and predicting the actual deadlines for projects completion. Here're some Riter AI functions:

Story tracking. Estimating tasks timing is one of the most significant stages on which the entire further development process and the existence of a project as a whole depends. Often such evaluation of a task implementation causes difficulties even for experienced teams, and it seldom happens that all the planned work is completed on time. Riter allows you to get the most accurate estimate, considering many factors, such as concurrent stories estimation by different users, productivity and accuracy coefficients of these developers, their load during the current sprint, number of tasks and projects for each of them.

Time tracking. Riter AI uses context recognition to track users' time intervals automatically during their work and generate corresponding tags for the period description. It can analyze existing tasks in the story tracker assigned to a particular user to understand which one the developer is currently working on. Riter AI can distinguish clean and dirty hours spent on a specific task.

Analysis of statistics. Riter calculate developers' productivity and accuracy coefficients depending on their previous story estimation and implementation, clean and dirty hours spent on different tasks. These coefficients are used by Riter AI for predicting implementation of current tasks and planning future work.

Anything you need with Riter API

If you decide that the existing Riter features are not enough for you, you can easily expand them with any other you can come up with yourself using Riter API. It allows our customers to create bots which will realize their company and projects needs. They can be run in our or your own environment.
